Why visit the Himalayas?

Him means snow and Aalaya means house. If we think about these two words we will understand. All of us are burning every now and then in the fire of anger, disorder, tension, troubles, worries, pain due to which restlessness, intolerance, anger, instability, all this is like a fire and whoever has to extinguish this fire has to do sadhana in the form of Water will always have to be rained within

The extremely cold form of water is ice which is also called snow, the symbol of such coldness, the symbol of peace is the Himalayas, where you can experience external and internal coldness.

Therefore, through the ages, innumerable seekers have made the Himalayas their Sadhana Bhoomi and Tapobhoomi and have filled the entire Himalayas with divine energy. Be it Lord Adinath of Jainism, Lord Buddha of Buddhism or Mahadev Shiva of Hinduism, everyone has liked the Himalayas, whereas at other places where the possibility of a Sadhana seeker getting results is not certain, but the Himalayas themselves.

Being the land of Gods and being a proven land, it immediately becomes fruitful and perhaps that is why even today the Ashtapad (Kailash) mountain remains mysterious. The entire Himalayas are full of deep secrets.

Difficulties during travel

Actually, for a Sadhu (Sadhu), difficulty is a part of Sadhana. If there is no problem then the level of sadhana will be different and if there is a challenge and it is imposed on the seeker then the level of seeker and sadhana will be different.

When we started our journey, we did not know what difficulties we would have to face, but some things have become clear like:

  • 1. A Jain monk does not cook his own food, he has to take sudha swastika food from virtuous and virtuous householders, due to which he has to depend on others. This dependence is very auspicious but at present the biggest challenge for us is to follow this auspiciousness.

  • 2. A Jain monk always travels on foot, so if he has to travel on extremely difficult routes like the Himalayas, then making or getting arrangements made for accommodation during the journey every day is a very challenging task. Today, it may not be a very difficult matter to be in an unknown area where there is no bar for righteousness, or people who can understand us and make arrangements for our stay.

  • 3. The biggest challenge during the journey is that one has to walk on the highway, it is a very conscious task to avoid the traffic, high speed trucks, cars and bikes.

  • 4. Value. Tolerating insult is a very common thing in our life.
